Of Possibility

Yes, we have no frameworks; we have no frameworks today. Yes this humorous parody sounds like the “Irving Berlin” song, “Yes we have no bananas” and is actually a subjection of attempting a symbolized lack for recognizing sets of original formalism in good literature. It appears to me to be a good representation of why I desire to obtain the knowledge of contemporary English-speaking literary criticism. The frameworks (imaged bananas) of course substitute the background organization that explains the signs that emphasis the appearances of thoughtful engagements. So, then I ask do these hypothetically frameworks prove to be a nourishing and satisfying effect on someone’s hungry mind like a banana would? After weighing this preponderance I decided that good designs suggest a try. Therefore, not to be at lost in different reading, I wish to non-matriculate in the fall of 2010 with Ellen Friedman, ENGL 505 Contemporary Literary Theory and Methods.

Five Questions I have About The Learning Record

January 31, 2008 - 2 Responses

After reading through the Learning Record material I think there are five questions I would like to discuss in class.

How much of better is this method for the student then say the average grade report card?

How much better is this method for the teacher reliability for assessing the student ?

How does this effect the grading system?

How much involvement do the parents play in this system?

Does this communication between student and teacher create better quality workmanship ?
